Welcome! I'm Jennifer S. Deayton, Hong Kong resident, and as a writer, editor, filmmaker and occasional photographer, I'm interested in both the page and the screen. My specialities include feature profiles, Q&A interviews, and travel and humour pieces. Lately, I've also been writing and ghost writing more corporate ESG articles and thought leadership pieces. My recent clients include Microsoft, Prudential, SCMP, CNN International, Expat Parent, Playtimes and Southside magazines. I've also written scripts and worked as a story/video editor for food and travel shows (as seen on NatGeo, Discovery TLC, SBS) and my humorous parenting posts have been featured online at Little Steps, Sassy Mama and Expat Living.
I enjoy writing fiction, personal essays and reviews, which you can find at AGNI Online, The Stockholm Review of Literature, Prairie Schooner and Gravel, and in the anthology How Does One Dress to Buy Dragonfruit: True Stories of Expat Women in Asia (Signal 8 Press). My award-winning short films have screened at festivals in London, Los Angeles, Sydney, Toronto and Cork. And, last but not least, I like to blog about music and motherhood at www.therockmom.com, named one of the top parenting blogs in Asia.
Thanks for checking out my work. If you're in need of editorial or creative assistance, please contact me here.
